It is France what did you expect?

Yep. Every single school in the US uses the same vendor has the same exact practices. UBU lounges is chiefly a european thing and not practiced at all in the US, no sir. Also every single example of all the foreign countries is 100% the same in that country for all schools there.

Oh boy those Kenyan kids sure are lucky. I wish I could send my child to a school in Honduras so that they can have a nicey nice school lunch made only out of mother earth goodness from europe and japan.

EW GROSS WHY ARE FEEDING THIS TO OUR CHILDREN-- Oh no wait there's foreign lettering on that white box, it's good food, nevermind, I take it back. They know what they're doing. That isn't at all disgusting or a serving that's too large or shows any hint of being processed at all. It's fresh nicey nice mother earth stuff from nicey nice europe.

OMG I HATE THE UNITED STATES SO MUCH! I WISH THIS COUNTRY WOULD BURN SOMETIMES! WE AS A COUNTRY THINK THIS IS ACTUALLY GOOD FOOD TO SERVE OUR CHILDREN!? FRENCH FRIES AND PIE?! NO WONDER WE'RE UNIQUE IN BEING FAT AND NO OTHER COUNTRY IS CLOSE TO BEING AS FAT AS THE US! YEP! 8% IS A BIG DIFFERENCE!-- oh it's French, nevermind. It's OK and 5 star gourmet awesomeness that serves only healthy nicey nice foods.

ROAR WHY IS AMERICA SO INSANELY FAT?! BECAUSE STUFF LIKE THIS IS SOLD AT TOY STORES! AND ITS ENTIRELY MADE OUT OF POWDER!
Oh, it's Japanese, nevermind. It's cute and inventive. Interesting! I want one now, lol.

That was interesting, thanks for sharing. I think Brazil's looked really good. I don't know about the US pictures above, I have never seen a school lunch look like that but maybe my school district is just better than that. :)

Any more public school food I think I would have gotten AIDS.

They gave me 2 month expired milk once.

In high school back in the late 80's my lunch was virtually the same as this one:

Not that I complained since any kind of pizza or burger, no matter how badly cooked, would still make me eat it.

America needs to stop all food programs in order to cut our tax bill. The kids eat breakfast before they go to school. Why must they eat before they get home from school? They eat supper at 6PM for example then go all night until the next day without eating so that is roughly 12 hours. With obesity currently a national crisis amongst our children we need to reconsider lunch. It has also been shown the majority of kids don't like and don't eat some of the slop given to them. Are the schools helping our kids by stuffing them with mac & cheese and pizza?

Children (and everyone) need to eat more often than every 8 hours. If you desire poorer performance in school, then definitely eliminate school meals. It's difficult to concentrate on an empty stomach.

Anyhow, most children pay for their own meals, it's only the poor and working poor who get free or subsized meals. If we are going to have to provide some for of welfare, I'd prefer it be given directly to children than to their sorry arse parents.

But as parents and citizens, we will end up paying to feed our children one way or another. I'd just assume it be with meals at school rather than meals at McDonalds.

Now if we have to cut something out of the government budget, I'd much prefer it be foreign aid and military assistance to foreign countries, than to cut benefits for school children.
