Healthy sweet treats

Whatever Bob- I didn't intend to offend your diabetic sensibilities. I will call them sugar-free cookies- you call them whatever you wish. Calorically and nutritionally, they are superior to a chocolate chip cookie health-wise, but you certainly don't need to try them. It was just for information for any of our members who are interested.

To describe it as a “sugar-free cookie” is blatantly dishonest. To claim that it is any safer for someone like me, with diabetes, to eat, is dangerous and irresponsible.

I have a serious sweet tooth, but I really don't like the idea of eating so much refined sugar. I found this recipe on FB and think I'll run to the store, get the stuff I need, and try making them. There is no sugar, flour, or oil in this recipe. I'll let you guys know how they turn out, and I'd love it if you could share any "healthy" sweets recipes you may have.

sugar-free cookies

3 ripe bananas- mashed
1/3 cup applesauce
2 cups dry oatmeal
1/4 c almond milk
1/2 cups raisins
1 tsp vanilla
1 tsp cinnamon

mix ingredients together, drop by spoonfuls onto greased cookie sheet, bake at 350 degrees for 15-20 minutes

Sounds great to me!
Looking forward to a recipe for those of us without a kitchen.

My version of healthy snack is greek yogurt with a little bit of granola and some fruit in it.

Greek yogurt is the end all be all for me, so good...
...there it is :)
