Question about butter....

Same here. I also buy the "spreadable" butter, which usually has some canola oil added to it. Easier to spread, same great taste, and same high but wonderful calories.
What is canola oil made from? Canadians?

Or is it just an industrial waste product made from toxic rapeseed?

I am going to die in the long run, regardless of which butter I eat.

To be totally clear, I like the point you make, I do not want you to die any time soon.

I don't know, but I think it's nasty stuff with a fishy taste. When I want a neutral oil, I use safflower oil

embarrassed to admit that i had no idea there were other available/desirable oils to cook with until i married in my early thirties. Mom and Granny cooked with bacon grease, lard, crisco or corn oil. always assumed that was the universe of cooking oils

I use coconut oil. Stores in a pretty jar on the counter . . . semi-solid at room temperature . . . verrrry handy. I also use it on my face.

I use peanut oil as often as I use coconut oil.

Used to use the stuff that becomes solid until I found the following.

Personally, I've never been convinced that rapeseed oil is safe to eat. I know they genetically modify it and heavily process it to supposedly eliminate the toxins but I'm still not totally convinced. So why take the chance.

I've also read many of the studies and articles by so-called "experts" that purported to show that it is safe and healthy. But it seems that they were all funded by the Canola oil industry and I had to question the methodology and the logic they used to come to their conclusions. Many "experts" also used the ridiculous and false assumption that dietary saturated fat and cholesterol are unhealthy to come to their conclusion that Canola oil is somehow more healthy than butter. They also worked on the false assumption that all polyunsaturated fats are created equal.

Been using Coconut butter for the last few months, love it.

Then, while looking for the above pics.
I found three others that I haven't seen before.
Looks like I have something new to try out.

Cool.

It's really odd. I can find neither of the three in my local Kroger or Walmart.
And I was looking for Kings Hawaiian buns at the time also and they didn't have any either.
