vegetarian recipes

You have to use some type of rope that doesn't burn to bind them to the spit, but you don't need much since they are weak from not eating meat. Stuff a steak in their mouth to keep them from screaming and take your time. Don't overcook them. It makes them dry because there isn't much fat on them. Tastes like chicken.

Cauliflower, battered and deep fried, served with cocktail sauce. You'll never believe it's not a shrimp cocktail even though you made it yourself. Unbelievable.

Steamed veggies won't even melt butter.
Melt your butter in the micro with some garlic minced in. Then even if they cool quickly your butter is ready and tasty.

We eat a largely pescetarian diet, but I do eat poultry occasionally as well.

Good breakfasts are things like:

Toasted whole grain english muffin with half a mashed avocado sprinkled with course salt.
Whole rolled oats cooked in half skim or soy milk and half water, with a splash of vanilla extract, your favorite frozen berries (put them in while you are cooking the oats so they thaw), some sliced almonds, cinnamon and a little honey or agave to sweeten it.

Lunches are things like:
A pear, black bean soup, and some plain greek yogurt with fruit.
A mixed greens or fresh spinach salad with orange slices, pecans, feta cheese, and a raspberry vinaigrette, a side of greek yogurt with fruit, and maybe a slice of brie.

Dinners:
Whole grain pastas, rice bowls, roasted veggies (don't boil or steam them roasting them concentrates the flavors).

I had to Goggle that.

Sorry, she's gotcha on this one. Just pop them in the microwave for 30 seconds when you take them out of the steamer. That way you both get what you want.
What the **** are you? Some kind of marriage counselor or something?

Dude deserves to eat what he wants to. Do you even know what a sawyer does for a living?

First off just because I'm starting a recipe thread doesn't mean I'm gay OK! Seriously though I'm trying to cut back on meat which I have always eaten 3 times a day so if you have any good veggie recipes I'd like to see them. Here was my breakfast this morning, delicious and no meat.

I put coconut oil in a pan and sautéed wild shrooms. Then I added half of a veggie burger crumbled up ( the kind you get at Costco). Then I put in 3 eggs and Swiss cheese. Really good stuff.:)

One of my favorites- chilaquiles, can be eaten for breakfast or whenever.

Sauce:
3-4 dried new mexico chiles
3-4 tomatoes (prefer roma)
Salt to taste

Boil until tomatoes are soft, blend in blender with a clove of garlic and set aside.

About 15 tortillas cut into triangles ( or cheat and buy tortilla chips- but the good authentic kind!)

Fry tortillas in a little bit of oil until crispy, or if you cheated just slight fry, then add sauce and simmer for a couple of minutes.

Top with fresh cheese ( queso fresco) and good sides I like are beans or eggs.

If you prefer a green sauce, substitute tomatillos and jalepenos in the sauce. A little more spicy and just as good.

I steam bacon and lard to mix with my gravy on potatoes smothered with butter.

Don't get me started on steamers. It is a point of contention in the Sawyer household. My wife says they are better because you don't cook away the vitamins blah blah blah. I say I like my veggies boiling hot not lukewarm steamed.

Steam comes from BOILING water. You cannot compare the taste between microwaving and steaming. Yeah, nutrition, blah, blah, blah. Cigarettes, bacon and whiskey; the only real lifestyle for real men.

I would provide vegetarian recipes, but cannibalism is not a good thing!
