1. I think an automated PM or E-mail notifying members when the Forum Rules are amended is a good idea.

2. Capt’n should make a bio in the About Us forum

This could tax the system. Whenever a Forum Rule is amended, either a Forum-wide Announcement (at the top of every forum) or a post in the Forum News/Announcements cat is put up. Both of these methods are currently being utilized.

Totally agree about this taxing the system. I am a believer that if one wants to participate in this website, he/she must inform oneself of the rules. If ignorance of the law doesn't work in real life, it shouldn't work on a message board as well. JMO
