Thumbs down My thread was deleted

I'd like to know which mod deleted my thread titled "Political Punch" about Obama insinuating Palin was a pig. It was in the US Elections forum, and now I cannot find it. I received no PM about it either.

A courtesy PM would have been nice. I guess that's not considered necessary around here.

a courtesy search to ensure you don't duplicate info would also be nice.

This is like spilling a glass of milk and then yelling at your parents for cleaning it up without telling you.

Re: My thread was deleted

Yes, a courtesy PM would normally be nice. In the past some of us were under the impression that like deletion, it auto-alerts the person. In the future I plan to try to give a courtesy PM because I'd generally merge a singular post in a month or two's span if history serves.

However.

In the past two weeks mods have been majorly having to merge and move threads. Indeed, there's at least two threads off the top of my head that has THREE or more merges into the original thread. At this point, yes, in general some of us forget to send out a courtesy PM as on top of normal posting and normal moderator stuff we're also having an incrase in this kind of thing.

My best advise would be to perhaps subscribe to threads that you start, which I believe (forum software guru's may be able to correct me) should be able to link you to wherever the thread has now been merged to.

I hope this happens to you, so I can jump all over you. The two posts were 8 min apart in different forums. Sometimes searches don't find everything. But people that use searches know that.

a self search finds everything you posted.

I would recommend you don't hold your breath as I will never post a thread asking where my merged thread went.
