I notice some posters have tiltles like "Student", "Professor", "Advisor" or "Guru" over thier avatars. Are these titles based on how many posts a person makes? Or is there some other criteria?:confused:

I would assume so but you can also just change it to whatever you like.
 
I have mine for a good reason...

Might I possibly remind you that some matters are not really necessary when there is already a clear consensus on the subject?
