Good news for those that do not care for the new notifications!

I might be able to write a 'clean up' script that runs weekly or something to keep the db clean.
 
Seems to be intermittent. Still working on this.

...I think it's working the same.

I had about 5 quotes, clicked on it, and the rest of the notifications disappeared. However, I can still view them below the CP.

It's great, and if this stays I'm srue many more members will be posting more frequently. Discussions become convenient, and pin-pointed, meaning that you can instantly respond back instead of having to take time to search. To be honest, I'm thrilled. Great addition guys!
 
Closing thread. It was a gamble of a try and it didn't work. I'll re-open or create a new thread if we can get it working to test again.

Reopening!

I think we found a solution. Please go to your User Control Panel -> General Settings -> Messaging Options -> Visitor Messaging -> Who Quoted Me (Disable)

Please let me know if this works for you.

Remember the last 25 quotes are still available via the Control Panel.

Yeah mine works, too. Was going to pop in and tell you, but it slipped my mind. I'm sorry, vague. Thanks for the work you put into this. :D
 
I've received no notifications since I turned it off; assume it's working.
