What is this and why is it happening?


I have seen this happen to a few threads but not all.

A topic gets posted - lets say the following.

"Judge revokes bail for George Zimmerman in Trayvon Martin case"

A few days go by and then the topic reads the following way;

"Judge revokes bail for George Zimmerman in Trayvon Martin case [W:124]"

Those bracketed letters and numbers were not there when I posted the topic, but are now.



It is not just Zimmerman threads either.
Here is another.

"Doctor Who Helped Find Bin Laden Given Jail Term, Official Says [W:58] "

What is with the addition of bracketed letters and numbers?

Never mind, just figured it out. Warnings were given at those post numbers.

So why does it show up for all to see?

Never mind, just figured it out. Warnings were given at those post numbers.

So why does it show up for all to see?

The mod team is under the assumption that everyone is going to rush to look up those in-thread warnings, so they reference the post number in the title so you know where to go to read it.
