Nah. I don't think we should add anymore negativity into the site.
I am for doing good to the poor, but I differ in opinion of the means. I think the best way of doing good to the poor, is not making them easy in poverty, but leading or driving them out of it. -- Benjamin Franklin

There are people calling for the banning of assault weapons who could not define an “assault weapon“ if their life depended on it. Yet the ignorant expect others to take them seriously.

Mmmm. I seem to disagree. Sometimes posts warrant a dislike. Oh well, one can hope.

If you dislike a post, it is more faithful to the spirit of debate to point out the reasons why you dislike a comment so we can all discuss it than just point out the fact that you dislike something.

Also, people are more prone to dislike comments than like, so every post will have more dislikes than likes. Which promotes the negativity.
Also, we need to legalize recreational drugs and prostitution.

    Re: Mission

Liking a post prevents people from posting a reply just to say "I agree". Saying "I disagree, and here's why" is the entire point of a debate. A dislike button sorta defeats the purpose, cuz the important part is the why, and people will skip it.
The word "militant" is applied to religious people when they bomb buildings full of innocent people and to atheists when they speak with a non-deferential tone.
