He'll 'go back' to being an MEP now. I'm not sure they got anywhere in Stoke either, but nationally they got 555,000+ votes, according to this so far, which for them is a record:

I'll keep an eye on what little they can trumpet today. They do far better in local elections, though the party can still have a political impact far in excess of its true proportion.

Im surprised they won in Barking and Dagenham.
Every time i go to Barking i play a game of spot-the-white when im driving in my car (failed attempt at humour not racism lol). Its literally packed out with Asians down there. Dagenham im not a frequent visitor of so i cant really comment but i should imagine the situation is the same since they are very close (or is that Basildon?)

The man is a wucking fanker.

It can't just have been ballot-rigging and gerrymandering through immigration. That kind of thing can swing a near or rather far result, not rig the kind of wipeout which was Labour's only true victory here. Labour got ALL the 51 seats in Barking and Dagenham.

The BNP lost their 12, the Tories were wiped out too. Bizarre. (The voters can't all be living on lavish benefits, plus all the other 'gravy train' things the likes of the News Of The World tells us Labour kept flowing at the taxpayers' expense!)


So they've got Hoxha and her followers. Hope they enjoy more years of the woman who covered up a paedophile scandal but went on to become Childrens' Minister! Yes, the very Hodge who had a bust of Lenin on her desk and flew the Red Flag as councillor, yet who had the brass neck to call Nick griffin an extremist as if butter wouldn't melt in her mouth.

As I say, they'd better not mouth a further word of complaint when the BBC crews come round any more. They voted for more of the same.

Who are you referring to? The BNP DID NOT win in Barking. They came a miserable 3rd and lost all their seats on the council. Result!

This video, although it was impossible to see who was doing what to whom, showed the nature of the BNP effect, i.e. inter-racial and inter-communal violence. Briefly put... violence. Fortunately, at an historic high-point for far right politics in Brtiain, they failed, utterly. For all its faults, Britain is not a racist nation and does not turn a blind eye to modern incarnations of Nazism or Fascism. They were there for almost everyone to vote for if they wished, and they did not wish. That fills me with optimism.

All parties but Labour lost out in Barking, not just the BNP. Still, they made their bed, etc.
