Free schooling, meals and health service, not to mention being rammed up the housing queue is just what the doctor ordered for many a migrant. But how many are we supposed to take before we completely run out of resources to dish out to the world's strays? They can't believe their luck, though nor can the many tens of thousands of ordinary British people forced to languish on the dole queues and pay higher taxes to pay for the asylum flood.

I daresay the councillors who wrote their letter aren't 'speaking the language of the BNP' when they call for some sanity at long last. But will such pleas be heeded?

Insults against the elderly is only to be expected from a party which cuts their pensions so much that many more have to make the choice of whether to die of cold or hunger. (And if they hold back their tax to survive, they get threatened with jail.) Dennis MacShane called the OAPs 'too reactionary and Tory', so we shouldn't ever expect much from the Peoples' Party.

Well, I'm not laughing at those 'coffin-dodgers', especially when I consider what some left wing turd's reaction would be if Muslims were slandered for example.

Labour have DESTROYED the nation and all it has ever known. They are expecting us to smile and take whatever false cost is imposed as they drive us towards a John Lennon/Farenheit 451-esque world - a Marxist project based on the White Man's Burden paranoia, without its own borders, native dominant demographic, identity and culture and roots.

All this turmoil and politically-correct insult for the concepts of 'equality' and a brave new utopia!

This is one of the biggest misconceptions about immigration. Immigrants will be placed in areas where local citizens refuse to live. You may, or may not, be aware when a person/family have accrued enough points to be considered for a Council place they have the option of refusing on three occasions. Alternatively some local authorities are running a 'bidding' system where suitable applicants [who once again have enough points] are allowed to bid for a property.
As you can imagine certain areas are not desirable so, local authorities, rather than leave them unoccupied house local immigrants. This can in NO way be described as 'cue-jumping' as many misinformed like to spout.

Skimming the rest of your article, you must be referring to Peterborough? Where i think there are some legitimate concerns with local services being over stretched.

The likes of Margaret 'Hoxha' aren't ones to say this kind of thing lightly. Plus the idea of not bothering to renovate housing estates and police them properly in order to house immigrants, not to mention putting many in places which others aren't given the chance to accept or turn down, is hardly a nice way to look at it. Especially as the population boom is still in its comparitive infancy. 25%, apparently, of all new births in this country are Muslim. Where are all these extra grown-ups going to live?

She was proved wrong, like a lot of 'misinformed'

The study, published by the Equality and Human Rights Commission and the Local Government Association, found that more than 60% of new migrants to Britain in the last five years are living in private rented accommodation, with most newly arrived migrants banned from access to social housing."

The article goes onto say

The study found that despite a lack of evidence to support allegations of queue-jumping, such claims were widely repeated and the perception remained.

The authors suggest one explanation may be that much of the private rented housing which is let to newly arrived migrants tends to be former council homes which have been sold off in hard-to-let blocks in run-down areas, and locals may assume it is still council accommodation.

Which goes someway to confirming what i know to be true.

Even Gordon Brown's misguided on that logic, as he himself said councils should give greater priority to local people. (Hmmm, an unreliable Labour PM, whatever next?!)

With different websites giving different statistics, plus government departments themselves saying they're a bit glib with their own figures in recent years, who can say what the real numbers are. As with unemployment, they're bound to be much higher than printed.

And anyway, I reckon these kinds of surveys are misleading. If all the all-conquering, BNP-kicking EHRC asks you if your council discriminates in favour of one set of people over another you're bound to say no. Why should you be the one to get spanked? Though that bit's speculation, what I do know is that migrants judged to be destitute can be given a house as an emergency measure. And as most newcomers technically would be, they would be eligible.

Having said that, I'm glad most newcomers rent but my criticism always was about numbers of houses against the artificially huge population after them. Hence this kind of thing:
