Reading is the only town in the South East to be run by a Labour majority. Which is probably why cutbacks are expected in services, plus soaring taxes, despite a multi-million Pound town hall being gotten underway here. Not very social are these socialists, particularly when street crime has been one of the biggest moans of the people!
It's quite pitiful to see the once arrogant and swaggering Labour Party take a not particularly outstanding commercial town so seriously that they send ministers down to grub for votes and make a point of including it in their national electioneering strategy.
High-ranking Leftist 'pipes recently sent down to flash-blind the public include Neil Kinnock, David Milliband, John Prescott and Alan Johnson.
Naz Sarkar, Reading West Labour candidate (good luck loser!) and computer-obsessive, says that "The world is changing and it is important to engage with the people using new technology and social media".
It's a bit late for that. And with the Reds set to lose the election, it can only be wondered at whether just talking to people and actually DOING what they want, instead of just paying lip-service, may be too radical an idea for NuLab to realistically adopt.

NEW LABOUR, NEW WASTE: Naz Sarkar, previously of Waltham Forest 'Muslims vs Gays' council, was one of the councillors presiding over a tremendous public libraries scandal, where perfectly good and expensive books were trashed just for being a few years old:

- This dangerous man, crazy that everything should be as 'new' and progressive as possible, wants to be one of Reading's next rulers. As if Labour hasn't had enough previous in wanting to dump the old for the sake of it. No wonder our 'useless' pensioners have been abandoned under these pigs we call a Labour Government!
