The ultimate treason of the modern Left is to use immigration as a method to repopulate the nation with people more likely to vote for parties like Labour:

It's the greatest crime of the age for a government to oversee a nation of illiterate youngsters, with few skills and fewer prospects, and then let employers dump them on that pretext in favour of coolie labour shipped in from abroad. They call Britain a mongrel nation without real heritage, thus they treat this newly-branded leper territory as much.

But our masters are now nervous as the peasants revolt. Only recently are they pushing through greater encouragements for kids to acquire proper, useful trades to give the 'lazy' Brits a chance. And, in a u-turn on Blunkett's infamous 'no upper limit' pledge, Labour big-wheels backpedal on the 'need' for such heavyweight immigration:

Anything getting in the way of the return to power of the great social engineers is bad, hence the bizarre comment from Margaret Hodge on how even black people may make the cardinal error of voting for who they want, rather than she:

For New Labour it was never just about a quick-fix to fill a skills shortfall. It wasn't even merely about giving shelter to some of the neediest refugees. Nor for making it less impossible for people to emigrate to here from overseas to enjoy retirement in a more sophisticated land. For New Labour, immigration was ultimately a spiteful act of ethnic alchemy - a two-pronged plan to both demographically engineer larger votes for aggressive hippies, as well as to dilute and 'purify' existing populations which are usually slandered, maligned and then kept ignorant of their great heritage. (That is if not actually constantly told their British heritage was responsible only for great carnage and suffering, at the same time as being ordered to glory unquestioningly in all other world cultures.)

Leftists of most flavours may couch their language in terms of 'tolerance', 'diversity', 'liberalism' or 'equality', but when they get to power you find they place great emphasis on punishment for those not fitting the dogma. Punishment for having too much money, punishment for speaking out on taboo issues, or punishment for 'taking the law into your own hands' by tackling misunderstood yobs or punishment for driving a big car or putting out too much rubbish.
