This is why I think I will ignore you from now on.. The comparison is absurd.

Why do you never look at other governments? The whole political system is corrupt my friend, and you choose to critisize the best functioning(modern) and most promising one.

Funny how your comments continue to avoid this over and over and over again.

And as for Bub's claim that people should be disenfranchised for not knowing things they're unaware of, I can say that just sums up the modern Left.
Actually it sums up both the left and the right and the centre. If you look around these boards it is so called libertarians and other right wingers that more than often advocate taking the vote away from people based on everything from financial situation over to education and worse.

And bud is right.. if people dont seek the relevant information then they have no right to have an opinion on it.. but we live in a democracy where anyone can have a vote so in the real world it is not possible.

That is why the anti-EU crowd often can win a discussion on the EU because they are often ill informed to say the least.. you are a classic example.

I've mentioned it a few times, particularly on my Youtube page.

    Re: The EU and Democracy

The EU is the prime governing authority over this land, which is why I focus on it a lot.

There. Post answered old bean. Am I going to get ignored now?

    What?

The UK government is the prime governing authority. And that government is completely rotten and dysfunctional. Makes the EU look like governance paradise in comparison.

    No, it is not.

The EU can not set monetary, fiscal, education, defence, legal, foreign policy and more.

So in no way is it the prime governing authority over the UK.. not even remotely.

    Re: The EU and Democracy

Funny how the EU makes it appear difficult for us to leave if we're still so independent.

EU law takes precedence over our own Common Law, its supremacy signed away in 1972:

European Law & its Effect on Britain

National perogative for independent governance dismantled by our politicians:

ParaPundit: Queen Elizabeth Afraid Of Loss Of British Sovereignty

Why the European Union Must Go | The Brussels Journal

    WHY WE NEED SOVEREIGNTY

    Creeping ever further into subservience:

Showing their true colours - and how British sovereignty will be circumvented

Those ignorant people were fooled into Euroscepticism!

Open Europe blog: The EU strikes back - at the media and bloggers

The EU's constitution replaces ours when 'Lisbon' takes full effect.

If you don't like the EU why doesn't the UK get out? The door is wide open.

If there was a real popular support in UK about leaving the UE, UK would no longuer be a member.
