France attacker stabs rabbi shouting Allahu Akbar...

Excuses excuses. The attack on Gabby Gifford has never by the American media (mostly) nor the American right classified as a terror attack.. in fact most homegrown attacks in the US are rarely named as such, even though they meet your criteria. Even the Sandy Hook guy had an cause and did it in the name of that cause.. he was crazy yea, like many wacko gun owners, but it was a cause and he was a terrorist.. but I have yet to hear the right wing name Sandy Hook as a terror attack..

So spare me the "criteria" crap.. we both know, as long as a Muslim is involved then Americans and many Europeans will say "terror", but when the attacker is not a Muslim, then naww... sick in the head he was..
The attack on Gabby Giffords was a crime. It was not a terrorist attack. It wasnt attached to an idea or an agenda.

This probably will come as a shock to you, but Muslims commit crimes. Sometimes they steal. Sometimes they rape. Sometimes they commit murder. And when they do it isnt always a terrorist attack> Sometimes...its 'just' a crime. People commit crimes. But when people commit crimes based on an ideology where the horror of the event is meant to promote the furtherance of the cause, they are committing a terrorist attack. Dylan Roof committed a terrorist attack. Adam Lanza did not.

I doubt the facts matter to you. You are one of those that has this weird kneejerk need to defend Fundamentalist Islam.

Thank you for proving my point.. of course it was a terrorist attack.. the man was politically motivated. He attacked a political rally and killed politicians..

What was his terrorist 'goal'?

First of all, maybe you'd better learn how to use the quote function properly. The way you screwed up the quote by your edit, nobody knows who said what.

Beyond that you clearly have not the simplest idea of what you are talking about in this instance. It's all been covered at length by those with both an interest to provide more in-depth information and the means and "local savvy" to gain it. If you're incapable of keeping up with things, that's okay but mindlessly repeating the same ignorant rant in face of details that others supply just makes you look silly. Silly like in offering nothing other than a mindless "blah blah blah".

Well, you told me. 🙀

I dont hate America or most Americans. Quite the opposite. What I do care about is painting false pictures of how "bad" things are in France or in Europe, while ignoring that absolute shambles the US is when it comes to violence like this. I also object that a situation like this is being exploited by the usual people to attack Muslims and claim anti-Semitism problems in Europe when there is no credible evidence of such a thing.

I think a lot of European countries actually have a higher mass killing ratio per per population than the US. I know for mass shootings, Finland, Slovakia, Norway and Switzerland all have more Mass shootings in reference to population. With France making the top 10 list. Mass killings would make the European countries even worse off in comparison, but I unfortunately can't find such statistics :( probably for a reason...

People forget that America is a massive country, each one of it's states is essentially enough to be a country in and of itself... and a lot of states haven't even had a terrorist attack. Almost EVERY issue in America is blown out of proportion in our media because we are such a big country.

Well, you told me.

Ignore him. The blah, blah comes from him, and his empty criticism of things that need repeating. His denial and condescending posts on show his inability to talk about what is happening very regularly in Europe. He makes you the problem, which you are not.

What a load of right wing bull****. There is a ****ing mass-shooting PER DAY on average in the US...The last mass-killing I have heard of in those countries named was Brevik, which was the first time in the country.

Yes the reason is that they only exist in the minds of American right wingers.

Of for **** sake stop using the pathetic excuse of a "Big country".... it is a bull**** excuse and un-true. There is violence across the country. Lets look at the last 2 days.. At least 5 killed and total injured 26. These attacks were from Washington State to Boston and down to Alabama.... and that is just in the last 2 days!

Stuff like this

13 shot Sunday morning at Bridgeport house party - Connecticut Post

Does not happen in Europe on a weekly, monthly or yearly basis.. it is soooo rare, where as it is the norm in the US.

And people like you jumping at the chance of pushing anti-Semitic angle in Europe but ignoring an even worse problem in the US.. /clap. Plus of course never questioning the material that "proves" a rise in Anti-Semitism....

Anti-Semites in the US are fringe groups of neo-nazis and other white supremacy organizations. You don't have Jewish leaders wondering aloud whether or not it's time for Jews to leave the US, as you do in France. Europeans have an appalling history of anti-Semitism, culminating in the Holocaust. Unfortunately the Second World War didn't end it.

Once more you demonstrate your absolute ignorance of the United States and your bigotry is once more demonstrated for all to see. But I do like you, Pete - because when they entire world is changing and evolving, you remain constant in your bigotry. Congratulations.

From what I understand it all depends on what you consider as a "Mass shooting". Gang members shoot each other up in the US, but I don't know if you should consider those "Mass shooters"

One may argue with the line of rebuttal taken, but it remains that the targeted supposition (post #55) constitutes a load of bull.

No they are not a fringe group. One of them is running for President and has advisers that are holocaust deniers. The reason that Jewish leaders are not saying for "Jews to leave the US" is, that Jews have far more political power in the US than in Europe, relative to their population size.. this is a fact, and no it is not a negative or anti-Semitic. American history on anti-Semitism is almost as bad as Europes.. and the more that Americans are in denial over this, the worse it gets. Europeans did not publicly ban Jews from universities ... Americans did. Europeans did not form immigration policy to prevent Jews from entering the country... Americans did. The list of anti-Semitic actions in the US is long and dark. The New York Times had to close its comment section during the Bernie Maddow case because of the wave of anti-Semetic comments... just one of many issues.

Of course they are mass shooters.. they are doing it in public for **** sake.. But mass shooting is when 3 or more are injured or killed by guns.

What? Are you saying we in Europe are more violent and have more mass shootings than the US?

I think it is a separate problem in and of itself. I think is useful to classify wacko's shooting/killing random masses of people as their own separate statistic... Which a lot of countries in Europe have a worse percentage. Gang and Drug violence in America is a different issue... an important one as well, but different.

LOL moving the bar... excuses... utter denial. Cherry picking your statistics I see?

Their is no cherry picking, or moving of bars. I have said the same thing since the beginning. If you don't find it useful, fine... I wonder why though o_O. It's not some kind of competition, it's simply recognition of some serious issues Europe is also going through.

You claimed that some European countries have more mass killings than the US.. that is false on so many levels. Then you wanted to "filter out" gangland killings all of a sudden.. well then I want to filter out Islamic terror... they are rare attacks and skew the statistics.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_countries_by_firearm-related_death_rate

US 10.54... nearest European country.. Serbia at 3.49... that is 3 times LESS than the US. France is 2.83... Yes the statistics are not up to date, but it does show the pattern.

Guns in the US: The statistics behind the violence - BBC News

372 mass shootings in 2015, 64 school shootings in 2015... 13k+ people killed by guns in 2015.

No matter where you go (well not in the far right pro gun lobby sites), the pattern is the same... the US is the home of mass shootings/terror related attacks in the western industrialized world. You can deny it all you want, but the facts are very clear.

Yeah, y'all just went straight to "kill them all"........

The irony of somebody from Europe talking about how America's history of anti-semitism is pretty amusing to me.

"...A rabbi shouting "Allahu akhbar"! Not something you see every day.

Some one has too.. Americans know nothing of their own dark history when it comes to anti-semitism and eugenics....

Pro rata is not a good guide. If you use that the country with the most Nobel prize winners is Iceland and the highest crime rate is in the Vatican City.

Lots of us do; those that don't don't know about it because we didn't, you know, try to wipe them all out like y'all did.
