I will agree that there are words that are untranslatable because there is no word for it and there are groups the world over who'd like to see the word reimagined in their native tongue, like we would have to adopt the Danish word "hygge"...coziness doesn't cut it, but that's different then accepting English as a second language. Outside of the field of linguistics the people who seek this are just xenophobes, right? How dare anyone try to preserve their own culture, right?
Actually there are plenty complaints about English in non English countries. Norway, France and others have tried to ban the use of English words in their language.. like computer, or burger.. So people do complain about the influence of English.
And this is just another anti-Muslim xenophobic thread.
