Re: Brexit: Spain threatens to drive Gibraltar to COLLAPSE with border shutdown threa
I understand and sympathise with people's concerns about immigration, I just don't ascribe every modern social ill to it. Immigration has nothing to do with the collapse of the British steel industry, or the state of the economy, the situation in Syria, problems in the NHS (which would collapse without it) or the government's failure to deal with public debt. I get the impression that right-wing Britain sees immigration like Scottish nationalists see independence; that solving it will cure every problem going.
It was said in jest, Andy. Hence the  You need to lighten up. On a serious note, if you ignore concern over immigration from a great many people, do not be surprised when they turn to more extreme forms to vent their frustration.
