RIP Delmer Berg (100 yo)

Ah, the Spanish Civil War. Who do you pull for, the Communists and Anarchists, or the Nazis, fascists and a military dictator in Francisco Franco?

This man's biography reads like an Ernest Hemingway novel... oh wait... "For Whom the Bell Tolls" but this man lived it. He was Robert Jordan.

Rest in Peace.

Hey, this guy really did live for social causes!

From the OP article:

"Born in Anaheim on 20 December 1915, Berg spent part of his childhood on a farm near Manteca. Later, he lived in Modesto and was the only white member of the local chapter of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People."

*bolding mine

How about that?
