French police and armed civilian “militias” have launched a series of attacks against refugees in Calais in the last few weeks, a British charity said.

People, including a 10-year-old boy, have been attacked when leaving “the Jungle” migrant camp or in the surrounding area, with two currently in hospital intensive care units with life-threatening injuries.

But again all that the left care about are illegal immigrants.

People are assaulting immigrants and all you can respond with is "Well some of them have done it too!". Are you seriously ignorant enough to think that the media has ignored any and all violence done by refugees? It's paraded around in the media every time it happens, and frankly is probably why these assholes feel like they need to grab weapons and assault innocent people. Jesus you live in a self-confirming bubble.

Assaulting innocent people is an atrocity against humanity regardless of who does it.

Paraded around the media? You mean a few websites and briefly mentioned in a couple of national newspapers? This news story gets on the hour reporting from the large news channels and front page coverage.

These illegal immigrants should not be there in the first place. I do not support the violence but the fact is they are in France illegally and they need to be arrested by immigration enforcement.

You can judge a man's character by how he treats the people he doesn't have to respect or treat well. You sound like the kind of person who would shut your door to other innocent human beings in danger and desperation, then go to the internet and whine that police assaults on unarmed innocent children shouldn't be covered in the media.

I'm sorry that you don't like atrocities being reported on, but nobody here gives a ****.

Danger and desperation? They choose to be in these camps to get to the UK because they believe they can economically benefit. France is not at war shall I remind you.

Setting aside the fact that you're upset that the beatings and stabbings of innocent children are being reported in the media, you come from an incredibly sheltered life and have absolutely no ****ing idea what it's like to live in a war zone or have to run for your life.

You're right, France isn't at war, which is why it's even more atrocious that the French are attacking innocent people in France. Can you list the reasons why reporters shouldn't bring this up? It should continue in secrecy, right?

Did I say I was upset about the beatings being reported? No I said I was upset that the left leaning media has jumped on the story in an attempt to support their open border agenda.

These people should be arrested and put into detention facilities until we can determine who they are and where they have come from.

I agree, anyone attacking innocent people on either side are criminals and should be placed in official custody to be identified and tried.

By these people I mean all of the illegal immigrants as well as the people who are violent, either migrant or French citizen.

So in your eyes anyone fleeing a war zone where hundreds of thousands of innocent people are butchered by multiple different groups and nations vying for power while entire cities are being burnt to the ground is automatically a criminal? Are you going to sit there in your comfortable arm chair and tell us about how if you were in such a situation you'd just stay put and be murdered like a good, law-abiding citizen?

Somehow I doubt your desire for survival is that low. It's easy to hold such a position when you've never faced any real danger or adversity and your family isn't in danger. You should consider trying to be a better human being instead of getting angry over the desperate crossing of arbitrary lines drawn on the earth.

How is Europe a war zone? We don't even know if these people come from a war zone?

I spent 3 years working for the Syrian government 4 years before the war and I can tell you that I feel for the Syrian people and I am deeply angry at what has happened to that once beautiful country by greed and the push for power so don't lecture me on "sitting in my comfortable arm chair".

The fact still stands France is not at war and neither are any EU member state countries. These people the majority appear to be young men probably not even from Syria but in fact just using what is happening to economically benefit them.

"Arbitrary lines" these lines are created for a reason since nations are more economically developed than others and have more state assistance logically people from less economically developed countries will want to go there, obviously this needs to be controlled for the good of the people living within that more economically developed nation who pay in their taxes for this state help and to live and work in such a country.

They're in Europe because of the war, a war that we in the west largely caused nonetheless. What is it you expect them to do now that they're here? Do you think they were offered a lovely starter home in France but decided to subject themselves to beatings and stabbings in a gypsy camp because they heard English breakfasts were so divine? I guess they deserve what they get, right?

Ah, so for you it's just about the money. These damn muslims are coming in and soaking up all of your hard earned tax dollars, right? How will your country ever survive this?

Not all are in Europe because of war and war is not the only factor driving them the economic gains of coming to Europe are the reason they come from Turkey to Europe and travel through various safe nations on their way. Not all are actually Syrians many are plain and simple economic migrants who have never been refugees.

They willingly live in these camps to get to Britain because of the untrue perception that because the UK is hard to get to as well as rumors among the migrants the place is better (economically) to settle down.

Some are in Europe partly due to war but they come because it is more economically developed, that I cannot blame them for but the need of Europeans should come first as it is their homeland which they are illegally entering into.

I agree the war in Syria and the conflict in the region is caused by western elites including Arab nations which want pipelines/power/influence in the region. I don't blame these people even the people not from Syria to come to Europe as they have been sent the message that they can stay in a more economically developed country.

Its not just about the financial costs of housing, feeding and clothing these migrants it is also the cultural impacts.

The conflict in Syria will soon be entering it's sixth year.

There are now over 4 million Syrian Refugees already in Lebanon, Jordon, Turkey, Egypt and Iraq. Half the country’s pre-war population (more than 11 million people) have been killed or forced to flee their homes. 7.6 million are internally displaced and we're seeing the worst exodus since the Rwandan genocide 20 years ago.

After reading your post above, It's difficult to comprehend how you do not have any compassion for the situation the Syrian Refugees now find themselves in as a result of Assad's brutual actions involving all sorts of crimes and atrocities against his own people. You clearly do not want any of them anywhere near you.

You say you feel for the Syrian people. Your posts do not reflect those sentiments at all. Quite the opposite.

Assad has been a barrier against extremism which I experienced in the years before the war. Reforms were put in place during his presidency like the banning of wearing Islamic face veils which is just one of the straws which broke the camels back. This policy was reversed in April of 2011 to appease the Islamists who were angry with the Alawite secularist government which protected religious freedoms. The civil war was egged on and encouraged by regional powers including the United States who deliberately tried to undermine the Syrian government to achieve regime change for the purposes of getting a Qatar-Turkey pipeline to block Iran. I have met Asma on multiple occasions and I can assure you that Assad himself is not a psychopath, I don't doubt that there were atrocities committed but they were not authorized by the government at highest levels.
