Measures to be used are fences, border checkpoints, skilled interpreters that know Farsi, Arabic and Pashtun, fast determination (goal is "seven minutes") to determine country of origin and whether people lie where they are from, selective admission of Iraqis, Syrians and Afghans (not Albanians etcetera). All this is supposed to happen at the border checks as a first form of filtering.

This is being reported by Die Welt.

Unclear is what happens if refugees/migrants are more than that, fences are not full border length and more get through than planned.

Update: I was wrong about Austria planning to build fences, Hungary is building fences on the exterior border of the Schengen area. What Austria is building on a border interior to the Schengen area, may happen to look like "fences", but they are actually called "structural measures" by the Austrians.

Repeat after me: Austria is not going to build fences, the EU doesn't allow it.
