Charlie Hebdo cartoon shows drowned Syrian toddler as sex attacker

I dont see the exploitation, its simply the direct result of our policies shown for what it is.

What's wrong with this picture?

1. The people depicted are christians about to be executed, not muslims.
2. The people depicted are Egyptians about to be executed, not Syrians.
3. The people depicted are Egyptian christians about to be executed in Libya, not Syrian muslims in Syria.
4. Aylan Kurdi's father was safe in Turkey for years already and did not "flee the civil war"
5. After Aylan's death, he returned to Syria

Exploitation it is. You can tell by the amount of lies in the media.

Well if you are concerned about the rights of religious minorities in Syria then why do you oppose their right to flee?

Do I oppose the right of christian Syrians to flee? Where did I say that or do we have another mind reader on this site?

They should be ashamed of themselves Anda. That child doesn't have the chance to grow up. Aylan was just a little boy little boy who could have grown up to be anyone or anything. Yes, let's mock that Charllie Hebdo .

Je ne suis pas Charlie Hebdo

(To stay compliant with the forum rules regarding English translation - I am not Charlie Hebdo.)

Now I may misread it, and/or I have a rather weird sense of humor too... but I don't think Charlie Hebdo is making a clear statement one way or the other. It's saying something about how we -- the mostly unaffected observers, the populace -- see the situation and deal with it. It's both social criticism and media criticism.

It's a pretty good reflection on how media hypes trigger reactions and create stereotypical images in our minds, one way or another.

In this way, it's brilliant. Tasteless, but all the more poignant because of that.

His dad got him killed. People lose sight of that for some reason.

It was exploitation because it was trying to sell a false narrative in order to open the doors to an invasion of young, fighting age men intent on spreading their backwards culture at the expense of the civilized countries they were invading.

If this were a case of actual refugees, women and children would have predominated instead of being overwhelmingly young men.

charlie hebdo is an extremly racist right wing magazine, the only people they attack more than muslims are the jews. It wasn't just a single cartoon

So, are we supposed to kill racist cartoonists now?

Muslims, I believe, have pens and paper too, they could have responded with a cartoon of their own.

Instead, the sensitivity of the Religious was on display for all the world to see. God WILL be mocked. Believers WILL be mocked. Mocked until the end of time. EVERYONE will be mocked. Only stupid ass-wipes respond with violence.

I am reminded of all the people who say "I don't agree with your views, but I will defend until death to defend your right to say them."

If this isn't a test for that, what is?

Regarding dimensonallava, nonsense, Charlie Hebdo doesn't target the jews that often. It is reason for firing:

So men cant be refugees?

So men cant be refugees?

You support men leaving the women and children behind to be at the mercy of ISIS?

You make excuses for the 'women and children last" approach, and why you cannot figure these things out on your own is beyond me. .

This is disgusting and they have seriously crossed a line here. He was an innocent child. There is nothing even remotely funny by exploiting this childs death in such a way.

It's fine. Looks like Europeans are waking up to what the refugees will contribute.
