Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko has announced that all the European Union member states have signed the EU-Ukraine Association Agreement. At the same time, the European Commission's website says that only 23 EU member states have completed all the necessary procedures to finalize the ratification of the agreement and submitted instruments of ratification to the General Secretariat of the Council of the European Union
All EU countries ratify EU-Ukraine Association Agreement : UNIAN news
One country that still has to ratify this is however the Netherlands. While traditional Dutch politics are doing everything they can to sabotage direct democracy and thwart the referendum (if they'll even abide it), if Dutch satirical website GeenStijl is successful, they could thwart this opportunity to expand the giant swindle operation for abolishing national sovereignty known as the EU.

That would embarrass the EU, wouldn't it?

Indeed, just when the Dutch get to preside the EU. Dutch prime minister Rutte wouldn't want to disappoint his overlords. For many has been politicians, a position in the EU parliament is also a nice retirement option, overpaid and undertaxed. Some cities are already saying there's little to no money for a referendum (but for asylum seekers, the money tap opens always), are limiting the number of poll booths/locations. The government also has refused to specify whether even IF the required 30% of the voting public shows up, they'll abide the results. Some EU politicians really FEAR Swiss style direct democracy.

The Association Treaty is only approved if ALL member states approve. Until that time however, the treaty is partly applied.

The EU is a mess waiting to hit the fan. Everyone knows that. The question for the EUphiles is, whether the Europeans will be able to fix so many problems all at once.

Update: the Dutch government claims to have no money for a referendum (but for refugees, anything can) but is appointing Hans Docter as "crisis ambassador" to "guide the referendum". Exactly what this probably highly paid job encompasses is unknown.
