$7 gallon gas to meet Obama's targets for emissions?

Then maybe we should make the push AWAY from the use of fossil fuels for vehicles.

Hey, I have a good idea, let's toss the Socialist/statists out on their ears. Manmade global warming and the effects of man generated carbon dioxide are nothing more than like health care. They are vehicles that are hyped up and misused, soley for the purpose of grabbing you and me by the short hairs!;)

Wow, way to misread that article completely, OP.

I'll explain it because people are just too goddamned stupid sometimes.

1) Higher gas prices lead to reduced driving.

2) Harvard researches calculated that $7/gallon would push people to drive less, enough to meet the goals.

3) The Obama administration has not made any proposal to increase gas taxes.

In their study, the researchers devised several combinations of steps that United States policymakers might take in trying to address the heat-trapping emissions by the nation’s transportation sector, which consume 70 percent of the oil used in the United States.

You're misreading an article about a study done at Harvard and somehow coming to the conclusion that President Obama plans to tax your gas an extra $4/gallon or so.

What people do not realize is that this administration will push statism/socialism as far and as fast as they think the gullible rank and file liberals will buy it. That goes for the 'centrists' and the 'moderates' as well.

Obama has not proposed raising gas taxes, but he did say during the campaign that he would support higher gas taxes as long as they were implemented slowly.
