If Climate Science Is Settled Then Why Do We Need Research Scientists?

Things are settled under communism. Things were settled under fascism. Things are settled under Democrats. Things are settled at the American indoctrination camps, aka universities. But never where scientists do not need to prostitute themselves for jobs and grants.

Well, unfortunately, that seems to be a logical conclusion. What do you think that term, "the science is settled" means in any normal context?
I hate the term and I hate politicians that use the term. The term seems very anti-science to me. "Nothing" is settled in science. Science is based on skepticism and always reexamines theories and change them as needed. Lewis Thomas wrote The Lives of a Cell years ago and hypothesized that if all the scientists and resources were spent examine one species of amoeba for 10 years at the end of that time there would still be unanswered questions. It is arrogant and patronizing to talk about the science being settled. It is frightening to talk about punishing "climate deniers".
I believe that we are in the Anthropocene era and humans have a tremendous impact on the earth. But I know that the science is not settled. We always are learning new things about the impact of higher CO2 and other gases.

You're just assuming the data corrections are unjustified. Do you have evidence to support this other than "the adjustments went in the direction I don't like?"

"If climate science is settled why are we still studying it?" has got to be up there with "If we evolved from monkeys then why are there still monkeys?"

I believe there is a solid block of the population that needs to not involve itself in science, as their interest in it only seems to make the topic more dumberer. They need to go back to their farms and continue to believe that electricity is magic, the sun revolves around the earth and that diseases are caused by mischievous demons.

The simplest way to defang global warmers is to deny them access to the government grants that turns them into science whores. Step 2, make sure that none of these third-world hellholes all over the world will get a dime from my taxes to make them stop drooling and lusting after my income and savings. As soon as money is off the table, global warming crap will go away like a bad fart after somebody opens a window.

What about law and medicine and engineering, have the liberal thugs infiltrated and perverted those, too? Fine Arts? Business? Economics? All perverted by liberal thugs, or just the ones you mentioned?

I worked for a decade in a University, Mine was the School of Science and Engineering, but had interactions
with all the other schools. There is a strong liberal lean at almost every school and every level.
The people with actual conservative views, tended to keep quiet about them.
Even the tenured faculty who openly espoused conservative ideals were somewhat excluded.

I suspect, the idea of working in a University setting must be more appealing
to people with a liberal mindset. It sure attracts an unbalanced ratio.

The difference is that the tax payers aren't being assessed serious dollars to pay for study of the Big Bang or to subsidize industries because of the Big Bang. Nobody is forcing more and more regulation on commerce and industry due to belief in the Big Bang. Nobody is imposing carbon credits and other manipulative methods to favor certain industries and punish others due to the Big Bang. Nobody is limiting our choices, options, opportunities, and liberties due to the Big Bang. Governments aren't increasing their powers and authority due to the Big Bang. Scientists aren't enriching themselves from lucrative contracts and grants to study the Big Bang. There are no efforts to exclude or discriminate against scientists and others who explore theories in opposition to the Big Bang.

That's probably the case.

I'd probably hate it too, because despite me also being a liberal I tend to disagree with many of the college liberals on numerous issues, more specifically with them trying to shut down debates and differing opinions.
