Leo's Hypocrisy on Climate Change

What level of carbon emission must I reduce myself to before it's acceptable for me to discuss climate change? give me the number. I'm sure leo needs it too.

I'm sure all these celebrities fly on private jets or first class, have gas guzzling cars and mansions that consume way more energy than they need. If it's the single greatest issue facing making you'd think Leo would have driven in on a Prius and advocated living a less lavish lifestyle. I'm sure each one of them has the carbon footprint of 100+ "regular" people.

Is there some reason you hate the rich so much?

Is there some reason you hate the rich so much?

Nope, their money so they can live how they want. I find it silly for them to pretend to take it hard on climate change yet do the opposite in their personal lives. It's hypocrisy.

Oscar night comes and goes, but not before Leo gives the public a lecture on global warming.

Leonardo DiCaprio's Oscar Climate Change Grandstand - Hit & Run : Reason.com

What a dingbat.

Couple points about this hypocritical douche bag:

1. How much energy was wasted carting all those stars off to the wilds of Canada and Argentina for filming scenes of "The Reverent" on location?

2. How much damage was done to pristine wilderness hauling those pampered Hollywood buttwipes and their posh trailers into said wilds?

3. How many gallons of Jet fuel did Leo burn in his private jet, shuttling his pampered ass around the globe in pursuit of his livlihood?

4. Why is the livlihood of the little guy: autoworkers, coal miners, oil drillers, etc; less important than the people playing pretend on the silver screen?

Go **** yourself Leonardo.

about 15 to 20 years, ago, movie stars had a dinner for themselves to understand what it like to eat like a poor person.

the stars arrived for dinner with half of them eating an expensive dinner of the best Foods, while the other half ate beans and rice as to understand what it like to be poor.

yet, on leaving they all got into they very expensive cars, thinking they knew NOW what its like to be a POOR man.

The problem, in my view, is the utter arrogance and overbearing superiority of the climate change crowd. They are nauseating in their zealotry and their proposed solutions have no positive effect on climate, man made or otherwise. They're virtually tribal.

Most people, myself included, would happily alter our consumption practices and we do, where practical, all we can to reduce our own footprint on the planet. But we will not bankrupt ourselves and beggar our lives in order to supplement utterly inefficient and grossly expensive energy options that are totally impractical all so that money can be funneled from our pockets, through brain dead politicians, to those in the world who are producing the most damage to the environment.

Instead of bleating endlessly about the need for climate change agreements, get off your asses and produce alternatives that meet the needs of today's society at a cost that won't destroy it in the process.

So at what cutoff point am I compelled to stop speaking on the subject of climate change?

Is there some reason you hate the rich so much?

Just the ones who preach that "we" have to do something about this or that while they do more of it than a thousand people combined.

Yeah ! **** you Leo ! How DARE you use your influence to talk about an important issue !

**** that guy, he has the LARGEST carbon footprint of any American alive. for him to smugly lecture you little people, who are beneath him about your wicked ways while he ****s all over the planet with that smug elitist look on his face should make your blood boil.

instead you all be like "we'll he's wonderful, he uses his influence, he gets a pass for his pollution emmitting excess"....

well perhaps you should start with flying first class instead of using your private jet. Not have the captian of your giant yacht moving it about the world so he can show up and have lunch on it from time to time...

that would be a start. k thanks.

you might learn what a lecture is

What's the cutoff?

also....

Why do people who argue for higher taxes on the poor not voluntarily reduce their salary to those tax brackets?

Hypocrites?

Why do people who pollute the planet more than some third world countries and lecture us on it not voluntarily reduce thier carbon footprint to be more inline with the people he's speaking to?
