“Facts matter, science matters, data matters. That’s what this hearing is about.”

That’s how Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX), the chairman of the Senate’s Subcommittee on Space, Science, and Competitiveness, began a Monday hearing he called about the reality of human-caused climate change. Cruz — who is also running for president — does not believe that human-caused climate change is real, which he made clear at Monday’s hearing. He did not make it clear that 97 percent of climate scientists disagree with him, but such is life in the U.S. Senate, where 70 percent of Republicans largely side with Cruz.

The thing about Cruz, though, it’s that he’s a master of political debate. He spoke forcefully and eloquently at Monday’s hearing about what he said were falsehoods surrounding the scientific consensus on climate change. He even injected some real data into his harsh rhetoric, which made him sound even smarter………..

However, as you read on Teddy – the poster boy for the anti-intellectual…. ignorance is cool GOP…… does not fare well when confronted with the facts……. Be careful……this dude is more dangerous than Trump

Rather than getting your information from a secondary source, why not go to the primary?

I found Dr, Curry's testimony to be quite good.

More dangerous than Trump? Uh oh. I didn't think that was possible, but if you say so and the completely unbiased ThinkProgress says so, why, who am I to doubt. So he's a Cruz missile aimed directly at us. We're doomed. Things are gonna get really, really hot. Just like a few feet under the earth's surface. I don't go in my basement anymore. Safety first.

You are correct. ThinkProgress is not Breitbart. In what way is Cruz dangerous?

I’ve been traveling; first chance I’ve had to collect some reactions to the Senate Hearing.

[h=1]America, We Have a Problem[/h] Guest essay by E. Calvin Beisner Kindergartners are running the country. Or liars. Or both. Honest. That was my strongest impression during the nearly three-hour “Data or Dogma: Promoting Open Inquiry in the Debate over the Magnitude of Human Impact on Earth’s Climate” hearing by the Senate Subcommittee on Science, Space, and Competitiveness Tuesday, December…

60's here in the northeast in the middle of December. 1 day I could see but it will be a full almost a week of this. Can't say I'm disappointed but I bet the ski resorts are.

I found it frustrating. In the case of Curry's testimony in particular she'd cite data that contradicts the CAGW line in a very big way and it was just completely ignored by the warmists. Skeptics were reminded again and again of how many scientists, all on the government dole, agreed with the CAGW line. As if that means anything.
