Besides, I was pointing out that the showcase model failed. Shows how good they are at picking winners and losers... I said we don't need another failure. Without careful scrutiny of who such money goes to, the chances of success are very small.
If such a market is viable, it will blossom on it's own, naturally. Investors like gates would use their own money without asking it to be supplemented with tax dollars.
The very notion that it requires tax dollars should stink like crazy, to anyone with an ounce of sense.

It doesn't "require" tax dollars any more than fossil fuels do. But those tax dollars help.
