King Crabs are about to take over Antarctica, courtesy of AGW

I am curious how long it will take before this thread contains posts from individuals claiming that "global warming is not real/is a hoax" and someone else claiming, "no one says that the earth isn't warming, there is just dispute over how much of it is caused by humans!"

You forgot the moronic 'yum yum, mongo like crabs' posts, too.

In the OP. Follow the links
The Paper talks about a few temperature measurements, not data of a broad
warming of the antarctic ocean.
He is finding crabs, where I suppose none existed before, but that could also be warming in general.
or the crabs evolving.

I think they are mistaking "global warming" with increased undersea vulcanism around Antarctica..

NO ONE CARES about your silly "Under sea volcanoes". That's not where the government grant funding is at! If you can link it, doesn't really matter how or what or why or the absurdity of it, to global warming, somewhere there is a bureaucrat with a grant form for you to fill out and tax payer cash to give away.

Yes. Its the crabs evolving. Thats not an idiotic statement at all.

I'm not gonna spoonfeed you, but lets just say the guy who actually devoted his entire life to the study of the antarctic seabed probably has a better handle on changing ocean conditions than you, who just happened upon the story six hours ago.

And even the reporter knows better, they included a link showing how ocean floor temperatures at the shelf are warming. Not surprisingly, they are linking it with AGW.

Well, obviously the underwater sea volcanoes are caused by global warming. I will take my grant money in cash, thanks!

Here's one you may have missed:

What does that mean? just a picture with no links or labels.

How about this:

from:

Which does not necessarily show instability, but variation of temperature zones. I wonder, is it colder, where snow and ice melt?

It has been my experience that snow and ice tend to melt where it's warmer, rather than colder.

Again, the reference to the paper on warming on the shelf, which has to do with changes in currents, is referenced within the article in the OP.

And yet again, people who study this stuff for a living know more than the bozos who just started googling 'antarctic ocean temperatures' five hours ago. Really.

The researcher found crabs is an area they had not been seen before, he also recorder slightly warmer water.
What he did not show, or link to was a study showing a warming trend in the antarctic ocean.

So you are worried about an infestation of a product that fetches more per pound than lobster, but you don't see a solution?

I have an idea......

Also gotta love when a person starts a thread, then dismisses anyone who disagrees with them as a "bozo's".

You look at wholesale ecosystem destruction, and you translate that into 'product'.

Point grasping. Try it sometime.

Yes, he did.
You are going to have to quote out the section of the paper,
Where he cites a study showing a warming trend in the antarctic ocean.

He's a troll. I am sure he attended one of those "How to argue with Deniers" classes that the CAGW Church puts out.

Meh.

I think if you actually read the OP and followed the hyperlinks, you'd see.

You'll then double your expertise on the matter, having seen the results of TWO studies.

I *can*.

But you can, too.
Come on goofs, there is just not that much data showing warming or cooling over a broad,
area. If you think there is please cite it.

Like I said, go to the article, click the links.

Love how you are now the resident expert on this topic now. Surprised PNAS didn't ask you to edit this paper, which is founded on the basic premise that the seafloor is and will warm.
