President Obama is about to get a little wild.

Obama will appear on a special episode of the NBC outdoor adventure show Running Wild with Bear Grylls, the network announced Monday in a news release.

The president and the host will be trekking through the Alaskan wilderness in an effort to highlight the effects of climate change in that area. The episode, to be taped, will air on NBC later this year.

It was a pretty good show -- mild by "Running Wild" standards though.

It aired yesterday evening (12/18/2015).

They meet-up in Alaska at the foot of the largest glacier in that state, and they walked up along it discussing global warming.

As usual they grilled each other on growing up.

Along the way they fixed some wild tea and grilled a salmon left behind by a bear.

It only lasted one afternoon, a hike up the glacier and back down again.

When asked what his legacy would be, BHO replied (1) ACA, (2) economic recovery from The Great Recession, and (3) dealing with global warming.

BHO also mentioned that he is not very tech savvy because he was not allowed to have an I-phone the past 7 years.

He also mentioned that being POTUS is like being locked inside a bubble.

Good show.

Grylls is a charming survivalist known for drinking pee and rehydrating using dirty water with enemas.

Yuk. There are some things Grylls does that I would never do.

Of course if you are dying there would be no choice.

So bring a cup and an enema tube with you wherever you go in the wilderness.

Yuk.

If you always bring a pump water filter with you, then straining and drinking pee might be ok.

All the Swiss pumps these days advertise that they can purify and filter anything and make it drinkable.

If I was really hungry I could eat rat meat. I have had squirrel and it tastes pretty good. There is little difference.

A squirrel is a tree rat.

A rat is a ground or river rat.

BHO wore a smock to protect him from the biting bugs.

Grylls wore his usually duck cotton clothing.

BHO said he used to hike the mountains of Hawaii as a kid. He just had not gone hiking in a long time so today was a treat for him.

They are bitter on the inside and the legs get caught in your teeth. Bring a tooth pick and hope they are cooked all the way through.
