You don't have to talk with the recruiters and you don't have to join ROTC. On top of that, its a PUBLIC GOVERNMENT compound and last time I checked the military was part of the government.

She went into the Navy and then went to school and did ROTC. She assures me that ROTC is almost entirely silliness. She says bull**** not silliness.

Why would that be? |

The ROTC kids in my school seem to spend most of their time learning how to march, as well as military procedure, rather than combat training and weapons knowledge. They're all fairly vacant or out-of-shape looking, and other than a girl I know from my sister's karate studio, I could almost certainly destroy them in a fight. The girl is, however, about 4'8 and has an eye condition, so despite her black belt I'm not sure how she'd fare.

Current Mood: | Re: Rotc ROTC and JR ROTC are admirable programs, people just don't believe in choice, that's the problem. They believe in forcing everyone, and everyones children to thin, behave and act as they see fit.
It's tragic really.

Gender: | Re: Rotc most schools don't allow organizations which openly operate with prejudice operate on their school grounds. Often it's written into their charters. That's what conservatives don't understand, many schools, by their own by-laws, are forbidden for allowing discriminatory institutions use their facilities. |
