I think what you need to do is tell the IRS that you're not really paying ZERO taxes, you're just taking an "Incomplete" on your tax forms until such time as the government "Meets Standards".

Finally the local newspaper is covering this! Hopefully the anger will spread.

The only thing I'm displeased about is that the newspaper article makes it sound as if the 1-4 in lieu of A-F is new, which it is not. The district has been grading with numbers for years and years. So I'm worried parents will read that and think oh big deal our school has had numbers for years, no biggie. No changes.

But really the changes are hidden further down in the article. Thankfully it's a short article. What's new this year, district wide, is

No penalty for late work
No Zeros for missing work
No extra credit
No Zero for cheating

etc,

Also a 4 will no longer equal or mean the same thing as an A which I don't think was covered well in the article. Though we have been using the 1-4 system for some time now the district is now retraining teachers to the mindset that a 4 does not mean an A and should not be given out like an A.

But still, it got in the papers.
