The university is an obsolete aristocratic institution. Too many of our institutions reflect situations long ago. They are fossils.
Because those bones are attached to muscles and nerve endings which provide information to the brain and accept information from the brain. Being able to identify specific body parts may help a brain surgeon to diagnose a brain injury, and to know which part of the brain he needs to slice and dice.

Besides that, it might help if he got confused and started to cut into someones hand by mistake. If he was familiar with the bones of the hand, maybe when he saw one and recognized it he would realize that he was operating on the wrong appendage. Just kidding about that one.

And yes, I took a class called Historical Geology where we had to learn all about dinasours and time periods and fossils. We even went on a fossil hunting trip. It was quite cool.

Lots of new Liberal college education programs destroying future of students, we should learn to behave in society, as degree courses are not including any sort of moral value chapters and students have to learn these things from their locality, if we are mainly dependent on the college education and not learning from the society then we have to face issues that will make it hard for us to survive in the community after finishing our college education and enter into the real world, where nobody will guide you and it is just a road filled with stones in your path that has to be crossed by you with dignity and that is only possible if you have caliber to deliver best performance with your academic and moral education skills.
