That's what we need, a New Deal socialist answer to our problem. Guess what, Fannie Mae was the socialist answer to our problem then.

Actually the problem stems from the dismantlement of New Deal regulations. This crisis would have never happened if it were not for the completely unregulated derivatives markets.

There must be some gene that cons lack that prevents them from ever leaning anything from history.
