Dodge's new $2.99 per gallon gas scam

Dodge's latest marketing ploy is the following: Buy a Dodge, and get $2.99 per gallon gas for the first three years you own it. With gas expected to hit 5 bucks a gallon in the next 3 years, this sounds like a deal, right? Wrong. It is a scam. In order to get the special gas card, you have to give up the rebate, and you actually will lose money on the deal. There are a couple of other gotchas associated with "the card" too.

Check it out, and do the math.
 
Just buy a Japanese or European car.. they got far far further on the gallon.. problem solved.
