To those who date women --- do you feel deceived by her makeup?

I've never seen it as deception or anything.

Only one girl I dated though... Just used waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay too much, caked it on eh.

She would hug me, leave residue all over my shirt.

Seen a few ladies like that, I was sure it was spray painted on

After I was told that the amount of guyliner was inversly proportional to the amount of musical talent, I cut way back.

I tell my wife she should throw out all her make-up and beauty products, but she doesn't listen. I swear.....she's got an entire under-sink cabinet filled AND a wall-mounted thingy to boot.

It's a good thing we split joint expenses but keep our entertainment money separate, because I'd probably blow a few gaskets if I saw how much she spends on that (almost entirely useless) crap.

Do you see makeup on women to be a form of deception? I had a friend on FB post that question and ask for opinions. I thought it was an interesting question to ponder. What do you all think? Here are some befores/afters of women with and without makeup.

I learned early on that women who use a lot of make up are high maintenance. I never cared what she looked like out of it all: the beauty is really there, but they are a little squirley

It's not useless --- it brings us joy. :)

I wouldn't date a woman with that much makeup on. And yes, it is deceptive.

Those pictures are kind of extreme yet the topic is interesting to me.

I wear very light make up --- some mascara - no other eye make up and some bronzer or blush on cheek bones and red lip sticks so it probably makes me look better yet not drastically different.

Yet I admit --- I feel kinda bare without.

I like myself best with natural face and my eye glasses and a little lip stick.

I admire women who go completely bare of cosmetics.

I'm guessing somewhere on the heirarchy above emojis and below money?

Speaking for myself, I enjoy makeup a lot. I like how I look in it and I enjoy putting it on. It's like art to me - I enjoy experimenting with different colors of eyeshadows, blushes, eyeliners. I find it therapeutic to take my time doing my makeup. That being said, I also like taking it off and being bare-faced when I'm at home doing nothing or just running out for an errand. Not all makeup-lovers are high-maintenance, snobby, immature, gold-diggers or whatever else you've tagged them as.

Just because you don't enjoy that, doesn't mean that they are useless.

No it doesn't it, means that we should all sit in a circle and give each other a massage while we talk about naomi campbell and drink a 2008 merlot.

My girlfriend looks good with, or without makeup, and we are both 52 years old....and having the time of our lives......

Your mental image of people who enjoy makeup is a stereotype. Some women are like that -- many aren't.

No, I just prefer glamour to gore. There's nothing wrong with imagining nude women with lots of makeup.

The question at hand is, 'do you feel deceived' ? Not particularly, though I am aware of deception taking place. Dating women my age, 40 somethings, I find that I may not really want to have a clear picture. The girl can have her secrets.

Nomesayin' ?

Girdles and bras are there to deceive and like make up when they come off it is legal in all countries to exit.

I don't think they have a right to feel deceived because they can see how much a make up changes a girl

The 2nd one, no, the rest yes.

I am fine with no make-up or minimal make-up. I have never been a fan of heavy use of make-up. To me, make-up should enhance and/or be subtle. If it is used to gain a complete change, then yes, it is deceiving.

My wife is in her 40's and is an absolute knockout.

Yeah, I fully admit I am out of her league.
But being rich got me in the stadium.

With or without makeup is fine. I don't mind make-up and many times it is nice without make-up.

Nope, not as long as they are women. Just do not pull a Bruce/Caitlyn Jenner on a guy.
