Well, I was hoping for a little discussion before I posted the poll, but.....

Sauwan has somewhat defaulted, but both participants would still like the debate winner to be voted on.

The poll will close in seven days.

I enjoyed this debate very much. While Sauwan was very articulate in his presentation I found it to be lacking the kind of substance needed to really drive his argument home. Personally I believe side of the debate was actually very hard to legitimately argue in front of an informed audience. I will give Sauwan an A for effort though.

Nifty was very methodical in his dissection of his opponents argument. He was heavy on citation which lends credibility to his argument. He very specific and articulate in his explanations. His logic was very sound and he challenged the readers not to just accept his argument as valid, but challenged them to explore their own predispositions and really apply critical thought to the matter.

In my opinion nifty was the clear winner in this debate.

I would like to thank both of you for taking the time to present your arguments in such a well thought out and polite manner.
