Current Mood: | True Debates - Week 2 The topic for Week Two will be "Bioethical Standards of Human Cloning". Jallman has already expressed interest in this topic. Jallman, which stance would you like to take on this issue, and who is willing to take the opposing side? Jallman's opponent will be chosen by noon Saturday, so either respond here or send a PM to myself or Caine. After jallman's opponent is selected, we will create a thread for you to hash out any rules/guidelines you'd like. The debate thread will open at 12:01 a.m. on Monday (Jan 15) for whoever is going first. All other time constraints can be chosen by the debators, but debating will end at 12:01 a.m. Saturday morning (Jan 20).
Any questions, PM myself or Caine.

Any questions, PM myself or Caine. | I will defend the position that human cloning can be a valuable for our society if it is held to the same ethical standards as all other research and medical practice. |

Current Mood: | Re: True Debates - Week 2 I'll propose that we have opening statements Monday...followed by rebuttals (1 each day) on Tuesday through Thursday. Closing statements on Friday. Seems simple enough to me.
Only linkable on-line free sources can be used. If you would like, maybe we can have someone actually moderate the rebuttals with questions? Not sure how you want to do it, but I am open.
Billo, I am really looking forward to this. I am glad you stepped up to the plate. |
