Over the next several days....threads will be placed in preperation for the upcoming debates. These threads will define the pairs chosen for the contest....but will not yet show the topic. Included in these threads will be the "Debate Monitor", this individual will be the Go to person for source verification, and content approval. Communication through PM, between The monitor and Moderators of the site will be regular and required.

Anyone who feels they are not up to the challenge of Debate Monitor can certainly Bow Out of the Duty....and will then be replaced.

These threads will remain closed until debate begins....and edited to include topic the night before they are opened.

A contest usergroup will be in place which forbids posting to this forum by non participants during debate, all comment from outside the contest forum will be placed in threads designed for the expected commentary .

Wait, what about casual swearing, as in how I typically swear, as opposed to frustrated swearing? Are they treated as the same? Cause, ****, I'll swear right here and it's not a sign of losing a debate, but if I yell "SHUT THE **** UP", it might be taken as such.

I just want to make sure I'll be treated fairly, considering my language deficiencies!

Well, it really boils down to this:
If it fits well with your argument, then it might be ok.
But, you will be judged by the forum - the mods (obviously galenrox can't vote on himself) and the Debate Monitor. It might prove wise to be cautious.
