Well, firstly, I can most certainly agree with your definition of partisanship. I think it's good because if you stick to it, quite a few things that happen on this arguably partisan board aren't partisan.

That said, unless I'm forgetting about some other post you made, you were referring to the OP, and the OP wasn't about political ideology -- it's about a whisper campaign designed to lodge doubt in the minds of the audience where doubt would not otherwise exist about Obama's citizenship.

That isn't partisan. Partisan would be railing on his ideas and policies even if it could be conclusively demonstrated that they make the most sense for the American we have today.

I'd say both issues need to be addressed to their conclusions.

It's amazing; all of the times the government has abused, ignored, or tried to quietly rewrite how the government is restricted by the Constitution to look more like it's our freedoms which are restricted, but then when where and when and how someone was born becomes an arguing point for you, then it's strict Constitutionalism.
