American Boeing bests Europe based Airbus in deliveries of aircraft refuellers to American Air Force. But that has nothing to do with any fair rivalry imo!
Look actually the initial tender was won by Airbus in February. Yet now Pentagon has announced a repeated tender doubting the previous decision. I see the political lining here! I mean that American military are staying highly suspicious of European allies and just don’t want to depend in sensitive defense issues on them. They just try to find any suitable pretext to bar them American military sphere.
This is not missed on American businessmen who on their part have developed the taste to compete the European rival companies by some illicit ways and in squeezing them out of American market. I know that American businessmen are in the habit of lobbying their interests by stuffing money into the pockets of political high fliers and big potatoes in Pentagon.
BTW the result of this manner is that American defense is badly hit. AAF jets are still being refueled by outdated refuellers of Eisenhower epoch far as I know.
