My first question it what did Scott Mclellan mean when he inimated that propaganda might be spread again, by W Bush, to at least keep the Republicans and Blue Dogs on board with actions against Iran.

I believe that the Neocons have the interests of Israel on their list of priorities, but I am not sure if all the Neocons have planned out how to make up 20% of lost world oil production, if the straights of Hormuz get blocked.

What is the best way to handle Iran?

Diplomatically... with both incentives and dis-incentives. Iran is a very proud nation. What they want most of all is their proper due as a major player on the global stage. If they are engaged with this mindset, they will probably be more accomodating and mallable.

Caught a glimpse of a TV Cable New report that the US has recently started military special forces incursions into Iran.

Bush has denied these reports: (Which makes me believe the reports are true.)

"Seymour Hersh reports on how the Bush Administration has stepped up covert operations against Iran:

Late last year, Congress agreed to a request from President Bush to fund a major escalation of covert operations against Iran, according to current and former military, intelligence, and congressional sources. These operations, for which the President sought up to four hundred million dollars, were described in a Presidential Finding signed by Bush, and are designed to destabilize the country's religious leadership. The covert activities involve support of the minority Ahwazi Arab and Baluchi groups and other dissident organizations. They also include gathering intelligence about Iran's suspected nuclear-weapons program."

Maybe Iran welcomes US incursions as a basis for strengthening their reasons for staying in power with repressive measures and vote rigging. Further justifying Iran's Anti-Western activites in Lebannon and Gaza.

Maybe Iran has no plans to retaliate by shutting down oil through the Straights of Hormuz.
