Now that the shoe is on the other foot, many liberals all over America have suddenly become extremely interested in prepping.
Fearing that a Trump presidency could rapidly evolve into a “Trumpocalypse”, a significant number of leftists are now stockpiling food, guns and emergency supplies. In fact, even though many had expected a sharp drop in gun sales following Trump’s victory, what actually happened is that fear of what is coming under Trump pushed background checks for gun sales to an all-time record high on Black Friday. The election of Donald Trump has awakened the left to a degree that we haven’t seen in decades, and some on the left are embracing hardcore survivalism without any apologies.
What is ironic about all of this is that on the other end of the political spectrum interest in prepping is probably the lowest that it has ever been in the history of the modern prepper movement. A couple of weeks ago, I wrote an article about how it was like “a nuclear bomb went off in the prepping community“, and nothing has changed since that time.

In all seriousness i hope people on the left are buying and familiarizing themselves with guns. The fear of them many have is unhealthy. Guns should be respected not feared. Guns promote peace by way of mutual destruction on a personal level.

If the right is the dark side of the force, who is Trump - Vader? Or the Emperor? Just needing a reference here. Because if that's so, it makes Hillary - Luke. And even though I am a centricist, I can't stomach that idea.

What do you mean Suddenly?

Plenty of liberals doomsday prep. It's fun and rewarding. There is a hippie couple selling refurbished US Missile silo's, and bunkers. I've had my eye on a particular one for awhile now. Wife says no, but one day, one day. This idea that because of a vocal few, that the left are all namby pamby whole foods shoppers unable to fend for themselves when shtf is just ridiculous. While I like Whole Foods business model, I've never actually been in one.

I haven't bought meat in three years either. Right now going through a freezer full of Buffalo. Tastes way better than beef.

Of course liberals doomsday prep for things like natural disasters, diseases, and Trump. Where as conservatives are prepping because of things like Obama, Chinese Invasion, and various religious ideas. Liberals just don't advertise that they are prepping to conservatives, because when shtf it's not going to be liberals roaming around in rape gangs looking for anyone that's got food stockpiled. IMHO.
