Seems a lot of people have a lot of ideas about cancer. Miracle cures, secret causes, and, of course, the big cover up hiding a cheap and reliable cure. Anyone run across any of these?

Don’t believe the hype – 10 persistent cancer myths debunked - Cancer Research UK - Science blog

I have to admit, there was a time when I bought into a few of these. Sugar feeds cancer, an acidic diet causes it and certain foods prevent it would top that list. But, those are just ill-informed ideas that quickly ran their course once I began actually reading up on the disease.

The crazy stuff: Cancer is man-made and big pharma is hiding the cure; I never bought into at all. In fact, I always had the highest respect for cancer research and its results. Now, that is not to say that I don't suspect that Cancer Awareness is just code for a "give me some money so I can earn a living pretending to fight cancer" scam. But, I digress.
