So I met a Flat Earther..

Not only is the Earth flat, but there's a huge Ice wall that circumvents the flat plane.

Also we never went to the Moon, all photos from outer space that show the " Blue Marble " are fake and we are the Center of the Universe.

When I tried to bring up the obvious counter arguments ( TimeZones, Coriolis effect, Compasses, every adventurer that ever circumvented the globe ever, etc ) he claimed they could all be explained away with just a bit of " open minded " research.

And apparently, this ridiculous conspiracy is gaining steam thanks to the internet.

This age old debate is gaining steam again and some of the people that have bought into the Conspiracy aren't exactly stupid.

Just predisposed to crazy conspiracy theories.

I must tell you, I had to research this because I didn't believe there were people who legitimately believe the earth was flat especially in the first world age of reason.

I was literally stunned. Not only did I encounter flat earth people that grew up in American schools, I watched a few videos posted by various folks. One guy that claims he is God believes the earth is concave disk, one fellow believes there is a reptilian race of highly evolved "dinomen" living beneath the crust of the earth/disk. And one crazy lady that thought she was channeling this species of lizard people.

This is a depraved foray into the psyche of some really disturbed individuals. I wonder what goes wrong in these people's minds.
