Nah, just kidding. Thomas Hobbes and George W Bush played equal roles in convincing me of the stupidity of the masses, and the need for an intelligentsia which can run our affairs.

And speaking of which, since there are a couple of leftys here, it looks like most of the posters all know each other and enjoy their place in the country club. There is very little real debate.

Thats a reasonable idea in theory [just read some of the posts on this forum]but when and where has it ever worked? It never does because whenever a minoirty has a monopoly on power it uses it only to suit its own interest not those it governs. This just leads to the whole system imploding and being overthrown as it was in Portugal and Italy.
