I am happy to have found a place to see all the different views of things. I am more concerned with the economy, inflation, manufacturing, etc than many of the social issues most people argue about. I don't really care to argue much about it anyway but simply cannot stand anyone with an extreme view one way or the other. I find myself in the middle trying to make sense of things while listening to mostly right wing friends with no idea of any facts who simply repeat what they heard from some other right wing idiot. I am sure that if was was in an area around some liberals, i would argue with them too.

Welcome...and good luck. Being in the middle can be the toughest place to be.

At least you know what your starting point is. Hope you can keep an even keel. Welcome.

Welcome Steel! Please help me get to know you better... by submitting to the following Pop Quiz -

Imagine standing on a cliff or bridge with at least a 25 meter sheer drop. Would you....

1. ... never contemplate stepping off because to do so defies any notion of common sense?

2. ... contemplate stepping off because you might have, do have, or probably have a warped sense of risk-reward? Or,

3. ... might contemplate stepping off depending on the circumstances?

I can honestly tell you I have made one of these choices in the past and have concluded, at least for me, that I made the right choice.

Seriously? LOL I would not contemplate stepping off a cliff because i have sense. I do not believe in "common" sense as it is called because if it were common, everyone would have it and since they don't, it does not really exist. Uncommon sense would be a better description for those of us who seem to understand things better than most in the real world.

Thank you for participating! The New Year beckons us with unlimited potential! This place stays open 24/7. May you enjoy the lively debate as much as I do. I look forward to learning from you. Your response confirms your uncommon sense and ability to understand things better than most people. Warm Regards and Best Wishes!
