Hello

Hello, my name is Sean and I am relatively new to political discussion forums. I've been on some other political forums and found the shallow "libtard" vs "conservatard" arguments nauseating. While I do lean left on many positions, I enjoy discussing policies and proposals with those whose beliefs differ from my own. I think it's important to understand we are human beings who love our country first, followed by whatever differences we hold second. I do worry that the national discourse has been lowered by hyperbole and fear-mongering, making civil discussion and compromise harder. Thanks for having me!
