I dunno.

But I know that Christianity has moved beyond the way the Bible may have suggested women be treated. (I recall some poster asked about the practice of stoning women. Christianity has given up on that.)

Here are some practices proscribed by the Koran. (Sometimes I think that being Muslim wouldn't be so bad if most of these rules were still observed. Not #1, however. That's just wrong. But in the 7th Century I can understand how it might have made sense.)

Does anyone know how many of these are still practiced today throughout the Ummah?

You "don't know"?!?!?!? How do you define outdated then? You made tyourself the self-proclained expert on the matter, you should be able to answer a simple question.

Instead you spend as much time dodging as an unwilling target at a Bukake party would.

It's that whole dual logic thing, ya know?

I can be knowledgeable and yet unknowing.

Seriously, this isn't a theology discussion as much as it is a cursory exploration of how Islam permits, instructs and/or encourages the submission of women.
