I'm not sure about your use of the word "
ratify" here? Perhaps you meant to say "
amend." If that's the case, then I would agree with you on that part. However; to say that the document is
relevant but the opinions of the author
are not is, well, borderline absurd. That would be like reading "Star Wars" (the original - I'm a Star Wars freak) and saying that George Lucas' intent/views concerning the story are
irrelevant - the only thing relevant is how
WE interpret it. I don't buy it.
